Chapter 1

December was driven away from her diary at 6:45 to get ready for the place she dreaded most, Misty Creek High School. December never really understood why her town was named Misty Creek.
It had a clever ring to it though, and she was fond it. December found it to be a marvelous name, very creative and sometimes she wished she had come up with it herself. She dragged herself to her closet to find something to wear. Her closet was filled of a neon rainbow mix , and dark colors. Band T’ shirts, enduring tutu’s, skinny jeans, shadowy tank’s.
This was mostly all there was to Decembers wardrobe. She wasn’t like the other girls at her school just wanting to go to Hollister and American Eagle. She was more of a Hot Topic and Rue 21 kind of girl. She picked out a pair of neon pink skinny jeans, a lime green tutu, a black and purple corset, black and white striped leg warmers, and grey converse.
December looked at her self in her closet mirror, and she loved the outfit she put together in the reflection. Accessories! She couldn’t forget accessories. She went to her dresser where she looked down upon her black safety pin arm warmer gloves, her bar ear ring rainbow color balls , and her red robot necklace. She positioned all her accessories on in there perfect places.
Now was Decembers favorite part, Hair and makeup. Since December was looking brighter than a rainbow, she decided to go with her manic panic eye dust colors, fuchsia shock and her electric sunshine. Her favorite eyeliner, pink and green bi-color. Lastly her violet mascara. She herself didn’t like to wear foundation because she had just about perfect skin. December couldn’t bring herself to making herself look tan, she loved being pale, so that canceled out her foundation. Lastly she chose to wear her sugar and spice lip gloss.
Decembers mother hated her hair, but December cherished it. Her hair was a bright auburn. She decided to tease her hair, and to put fuchsia lacey bow, to match her gorgeous eyes that were showing an almost orange tint around her pupils. She had been blessed with this beautiful color. Other girls at Misty Creek had false eye color when it came to Decembers color. Always color contacts, but not December.
Finally satisfied with her reflection she picked up her tarea perfume from Rue 21 and spewed herself in it . All of her outfit had came from hot topic today. . . All but her perfume.
Just as she was grabbing at her purse and keys to go downstairs, her phone rang the most excellent song in her phone, if it means a lot to you by A Day to Remember. The call was showing that it was coming from Decembers friend Hazel. “Hello my dearest friend.” This was heard on Hazels end of the line. “Are you coming to get me soon? Are you all glamorous? Because we have fifteen minutes to get to school.” Hazel exclaimed. “Be right there.” December was racing down the stairs to her car and down the road she went.

Later December arrived at Hazel’s house. Hazel was dressed in black skinny jeans and a white Paramore shirt. Her hair was and almost white blonde. Hazel walked to Decembers car franticly. Once in the car with her seat belt on Hazel was saying “Can we PLEASE get out of here? My mom is getting under my skin, she wouldn’t let me dye the tips of my hair hot pink and I am on the urge of grounding”. December had heard enough and was backing out of the driveway.
December had known Hazel ever since elementry school. No one really took Hazel seriously because she believed in supernatural stuff. Hazel had always been a little wack, but that’s what December loved about her friend in the passenger seat.

As they arrived at school December glanced out her window to see Misty Creek’s wicked witch from the west climbing out of her brand new Hummer her parents had got her for her sixteenth birthday. This wicked witch of the west was the one and only Chelsea Borgs. Chelsea Borgs has always been the most ‘popular’ as everyone categorizes her. She was a stuck up no good rich snob that never got along with December. She always thought she was better than December just because she had more friends, but not true ones. All these so called friends were all two faced and only like Chelsea for her money.

“Calm yourself December, she is nothing! Just think that you are at a Stephen Jerzak concert, and he just dedicated a song for you” Hazel was saying because she thought that December would loose her patients if Chelsea approached her. December knew better than to loose her cool though, she was the bigger person when it came to these sort of things. “Its okay Hazel, I just look right through her.”

December was at her locker looking down at her books wishing that she didn’t have to go to chemistry. All she need was for Mr. Vanzi to give her a lecture for not turning her homework in on time. All her troubles melted away as her knight and shining armor drew near her. It was Camerson. The only guy in this whole town who made her heart beat as fast as million pound weight being dropped to the ground. “Hey there Delilah.” His voice was enough to make any girls heart melt like a popsicle on the fourth of July.
He was tall and slender. Jet black hair that layed around his beautiful emerald green eyes. He was wearing gray skinny jeans and an Bullets for my Valentine t’ shirt, and red converse. “Hi” December let out a giggle that she wished she could have just swallowed down, but she knew that trying to swallow a giggle was like trying to dry swallow a big pill. “Did I ever tell you how pretty your eyes are?” Camerson smiled slightly as if trying to flirt but wasn’t sure quite how. December choked out “ Umm, actually I don’t think you have, thanks” December was blushing blood red. “It must be your yellow eye makeup, it really brings them out, I like it” Camerson smiled shyly. Then the first bell rang. “See you after class?” December managed to stifle out. “Yes you will.” December shut her locker and rushed off to class not daring to look back, if she did, she would be tarty.
Mr. Vanzi’s class had been brutal. December was just glad that it was time for lunch, fortunate enough for her she had A lunch with Camerson. She took her seat next to him and on the other side of her sat Hazel. Hazel was babbling on like a wild woman still about how her mom wouldn’t let her get pink at the tips of her hair. December was too busy mesmerized by Camerson. The way he moved his hands, the way he smiled, the way he laughed. She was falling for him, and she was falling hard. As if she was jumping out of an airplane without a parachute. Camerson had moved here about three years back and ever since then December was loco for him.
“How was chemistry” his voice danced like a butterflies wings towards December. “Brutal, with a capital B.” was all she got out before Kathrine sat down. Kathrine was breath taking. Her brown hair fell flat on her shoulders. She was tall, and had all the boys chasing her. She was really nothing like the rest of them when it came to style. She was more of a Ambercombie&Fitch kind of girl. Kathrine had been friends with December and Hazel ever since she moved here in junior high. She may have not dressed like the rest of them but looks can be deceiving. Kathrine listened to the same music, had the same views on life and the same hate for Chelsea as they did. December was just worried if Kathrine was going to use her charm to get Camerson, and she didn’t want that. Just as they had all finished there lunch the bell rang and it was time for December to go to her locker to get her bio book. She was always grateful for bio because that was the only class she had with Hazel.
She just did not feel like going to class. As the second bell rang she was strolling to her class and was looking forward to art with Camerson.
